WHAT TO EXPECT: once your request is received, please allow at least 72 hours for a response. flake baby is a one woman show and i spend the majority of my time baking, cleaning, shopping, and washing dishes. i try to respond to emails and orders within 3 business days, but please understand it might sometimes take longer! i appreciate your patience in advance :)
LEAD TIME: a minimum of 5 days is required for 6" and 9" cakes, and at least a week for all others. i typically can accept orders up to two months in advance (longer for weddings), but reach out if you have something a little further on the horizon and i'll try my best to accommodate.
PRICING: each cake is made from scratch and along with being absolutely delicious, is decorated as a one of a kind work of art. i try to price in a way that reflects this, and that allows me to use premium ingredients and dedicate plenty of time to decorating each individual cake. thanks for understanding :)
STYLING: over the years i have developed a particular style that customers have come to expect-- colorful, quirky, textural, often with sweeping shapes and fresh florals (check out the gallery tab or my instagram for some examples). if a particular style or color scheme catches your eye, or if you have some special inspiration you'd like me to consider, please let me know! while i'm open to more abstract requests, i do NOT do:

WEDDING CAKES: i am finally accepting requests for smallish (2, maybe 3 tiered) wedding cakes! please direct inquiries directly to flakebabypastry@gmail.com
BUSINESS HOURS: available pickup/delivery days are wednesday-saturday. if you need a cake for sunday-tuesday, please schedule for the saturday prior and plan to make room in your fridge.
DELIVERY: depending on my schedule, delivery is available for folks in central AR. the fees are:
north little rock- $10
little rock/sherwood- $15
conway/benton/bryant-$30
if you're wanting delivery to somewhere outside of this area, please just reach out and i will see what i can do! otherwise pickups are from the park hill area in NLR.
PAYMENT: all cake orders require a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the total price, and are not confirmed until the deposit has been received. I accept payment for deposits via credit/debit card or through venmo. for the remaining balance cash at pickup is preferred, but credit/debit/venmo can be used with an added service fee of 3%.
CANCELLATION: i ask that you please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel your order. in the event of a medical/family emergency, reach out and i can apply your deposit as a credit to a future order.
CARING FOR YOUR CAKE: cakes will last in the fridge for 3-4 days. i HIGHLY recommend that you take your cake out of the fridge one hour before enjoying, for the best flavor and texture. any leftovers should be stored back in the fridge, with a piece of parchment pressed to the area that was cut to avoid drying. most of my cakes are made with swiss meringue buttercream which is very sensitive to heat! if a cake is left out for too long in too hot a setting, it may melt and become a very sad disaster.
