flake baby is a cottage bakery in north little rock, AR operating out of the home kitchen of self-taught pastry chef monica chatterton (hi, that's me!). what started as a hobby in 2016 turned into a side gig in 2018, and eventually became a full-time job in 2020.

but making cakes and flakes has become so much more than just baking. it's given me a much needed creative outlet (fun flavors! weird designs!) and a strong sense of community by allowing me the means and platform to raise funds/ awareness for organizations doing great work here in arkansas and beyond. and the special feeling of selling handmade pastries to neighbors at a farmer’s market? or making a one-of-a-kind cake for someone’s once in a lifetime occasion? it’s unmatched.
